CHECKING HYDRAULIC FLUID LEVEL

CAUTION

Keep dirt, water and other contaminants from entering the hydraulic sys-

tem. Before opening the hydraulic ﬂ uid reservoir ﬁ ller cap, drain plug and

hydraulic lines, wipe off contaminants that can get in the openings. Also,

protect the openings from accidental contamination.

3. Unbolt the pump cover as

shown in FIG. 11-1. Observe

the ﬂ uid level at the decal on

pump reservoir. Fluid level

should be in the MIN-MAX

range shown on decal (FIG.

11-2).

1. Check the hydraulic ﬂ uid

level in reservoir as follows.

4. Pull out ﬁ ller cap (FIG. 11-2). Fill the

reservoir with hydraulic ﬂ uid (TABLE

11-1) to level shown in FIG. 11-2. Rein-

stall ﬁ ller cap (FIG. 11-2).

5. Bolt on the pump cover as shown

in FIG. 11-1. Tighten the 5/16”-18

cover screws until snug.
